Application Fitting Instructions Wet Method For large decals (more than 30cm), please read the instructions below. Lint-free Cloth Squeegee Slippery Solution (a drop of washing up liquid diluted in a gallon of water) Optional Materials: Measuring Tape Needle For optimum results, apply decal at room temperature (55 to 75 degrees) or above. 1. Clean the surface thoroughly with lint-free cloth. For best results, the surface must be clean and free of all waxes and residue. 2. Slowly pull the backing (heavier gauge paper) off from the decal. If part of the decal moves out of its original position, you can put it back into place by pushing the backing down and move the decal back to its original position. 3. Mix a single drop of washing up liquid with water into a spray bottle to create a “slippery solution.” Spray the solution to the adhesive side of the decal. 4. Spray the solution to the surface area where the decal will be installed to. Make sure the surface area is completely wet to ensure that you can make proper adjustments to the decal later. 5. Apply the adhesive side of the decal to the surface. At this point before the slippery solution dries, you can adjust and readjust the decal without damaging it. 6. Once you are satisfied with the position of the decal, go over the top of the decal with a squeegee. Repeat this a few times until you remove most of the slippery solution between the decal and the surface. 7. Wait approximately 10 to 15 minutes for the decal to dry. Remove the masking tape by slowly peeling at the corner. If there are any air bubbles under the decal, work the bubble to the edge of the decal with your fingers. You can also use a small needle to poke a hole in the bubble and work the bubble toward the hole to flatten the surface. Caution: Cold and wet weather can effect the drying time. |
Application Fitting Instructions Dry Method For small decals (less than 30cm), please read the instructions below. For optimum results, apply decal at room temperature (55 to 75 degrees) or above. 1. Clean the surface thoroughly with a lint-free cloth. For best results, the surface must be clean and free of all waxes and residue. 2. Slowly pull the backing (heavier gauge paper) off from the decal. If part of the decal moves out of its original position, you can put it back into place by pushing the backing down and move the decal back to its original position. 3. Decide where you want to place the decal and carefully apply the adhesive side of the decal to the surface. IMPORTANT: Once the decal is applied to the surface, it cannot be re-adjusted. If you want to be able to re-adjust the decal after applying it to the surface, please read the wet application instructions. The wet application method is recommended for large decals, but you may also choose to use it on small decals. 4. Remove the masking tape by slowly peeling at the corner. If there are any air bubbles under the decal, work the bubble to the edge of the decal with your fingers.
